Loco Digital is a digital product studio offering web development in Dublin to ambitious businesses across Ireland. We design and build fast, accessible, search-ready websites and web apps on WordPress or custom code, with bookings, member areas and integrations when the business needs them. You own the code.

What people ask us before a project like this starts.
How is a web development project priced?
From €10,000 ex VAT for a custom website at Loco Digital. Web apps, member areas and integrations sit above that floor. Every project opens with a short consult that ends in a scoped, costed plan, so the price and the timeline are agreed at the start rather than discovered halfway through. Do you build on WordPress or in custom code?
Both, and the platform is chosen to fit the job, not a house preference. WordPress suits content-led sites your team edits every day. Custom code is right when the site has to do real work, such as bookings, member accounts or a web app behind the pages. IPAV runs both: a WordPress website and a Laravel membership platform at members.ipav.ie.
What is the difference between web design and web development?
Web design decides how a site looks, reads and leads a visitor to an enquiry. Web development is the engineering that makes it work: the code, the CMS, the speed, the integrations and the hosting it runs on. We do both, so nothing is lost in a hand-over between two companies. Do you build web apps as well as websites?
Yes. Booking engines, customer portals and member areas are web development too, and they often start on the website. The ERP HEADtoHEAD booking engine sits behind the event site we rebuilt for Lumenia Consulting. Larger platforms with iOS and Android apps sit under our app and platform development service.
Can you make our current website faster?
Usually, yes. We measure the pages that matter first, then fix what slows them: oversized images, heavy themes and plugins, render-blocking scripts and slow hosting. When the theme itself is the problem we say so, because a website redesign can cost less than patching it. Our guide to a high-performance website explains what good looks like.
Can a grant cover it?
Not the build. The Grow Digital Voucher excludes bespoke website development. It pays 50% of eligible costs, €500 to €5,000, towards off-the-shelf subscriptions, IT configuration and training, and we scope any eligible parts separately.
Do you build online stores too?

will and will not cover.
The Local Enterprise Office Grow Digital Voucher pays 50% of eligible digital adoption costs, up to €5,000: off-the-shelf software subscriptions, their configuration and training. It does not cover bespoke website development or custom software, and you need a completed Digital for Business project first. We scope which parts of your project qualify before you spend a euro.
