What CRM integration in Ireland covers
A CRM integration project covers one or more of these jobs. Website enquiries and sign-ups arrive in the CRM matched to any existing record. Won deals raise invoices in the accounts package, and payment status comes back to the deal. Old data is cleaned and merged, so reports count each customer once. Projects start from €10,000 ex VAT.
Loco Digital designed and built the IPAV membership platform, launched in 2026. Its member directory stays synchronised with the Institute’s CRM, so the public list and the office work from the same data. On the ESMA International Network platform, which we designed and built in 2026, members keep their own entry up to date, and one admin panel feeds the site and both apps. Neither build uses AI. Membership websites for Irish associations compares that kind of custom build with a hosted platform and a plugin.
The build work sits under our AI integration services.
Which CRMs connect to Xero or Sage natively?
As checked on each vendor’s marketplace and documentation on 30 September 2026:
- HubSpot integration with Xero. HubSpot builds its own Xero app. It syncs contacts, products, invoices and payments, one way or both ways, in six currencies including the euro. Custom field mappings need a Data Hub Starter subscription (HubSpot Knowledge Base).
- HubSpot and Sage. HubSpot also builds a sync for Sage Business Cloud Accounting in the UK and Ireland, covering customers, vendors and sales invoices. Its listing says it does not cover Sage 50 or other Sage products (HubSpot App Marketplace).
- Pipedrive. The Xero app in Pipedrive’s marketplace comes from Cloudify ApS, another company, and raises Xero invoices or quotes when a deal reaches a chosen stage (Pipedrive Marketplace).
- Salesforce. Xero connects through connector apps from other publishers listed on AppExchange (Salesforce AppExchange).
- Zoho CRM. It syncs natively with Zoho Books, Zoho’s own accounts package. Standard records sync every two hours after the first run (Zoho Books help). Xero extensions for Zoho CRM come from other developers.
- Dynamics 365 Sales. Microsoft documents an integration with Business Central, its own finance product, through Dataverse (Microsoft Learn). Linking it to Xero or Sage means a connector or a custom sync.
When a custom sync is worth building
Start with the marketplace app when it covers your fields and your process. A custom sync earns its cost when a record also has to reach your website, a booking system or a member database, when the app does not carry the fields your reports need, or when two companies bill from one CRM.
A custom build also decides which system owns each field. The CRM usually owns contact details and deal stage, the accounts package owns invoices and balances, and the website owns what a customer types into a form. Each field flows one way from its owner, which stops two systems overwriting each other.
Connecting HubSpot and Xero compares the native sync, a connector app and a custom build. For the ledger side, see accounting automation in Ireland.
How to stop duplicate records in your CRM
Integrations, imports and web forms are common sources of duplicates. HubSpot, for example, matches new contacts on email address and new companies on domain name, but companies created through its API are not matched on domain (HubSpot Knowledge Base). An integration that creates companies without checking first can add the same company again on every run.
A sync should look for an existing record before it creates one, using a match key agreed with you, such as email, company registration number or VAT number. Anything it cannot match with confidence goes to a review queue for a person to merge or keep apart.
What AI can safely do with CRM data
AI is useful on CRM data where a person stays in charge of the outcome:
- Summaries. A short account history before a call, drawn from notes, emails and invoices.
- Drafts. Follow-up emails written in your tone for the account owner to edit and send. The system never sends them itself.
- Lead scoring suggestions. A ranked list with the reasons shown, for your sales team to review.
Under Article 22 of the GDPR, people have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects on them (EUR-Lex). A person on each decision keeps you on the safe side of that rule and catches the model’s mistakes. For answers drawn from your own documents, see a private AI assistant. The wider service is AI and automation for Irish businesses.
GDPR when customer records are merged
When two records become one, the merge keeps each consent with its date and source, so a newsletter sign-up is never treated as permission for sales calls.
Article 19 of the GDPR requires a controller to tell each recipient of the data about any rectification or erasure, unless that proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort (EUR-Lex). In an integrated setup, the plan lists every system a correction or a deletion has to reach.
How we build it
- Map the records. We list every system that holds customer data and the match key between them.
- Read-only first. The first release reads and reports differences. Writes are switched on one object at a time.
- A test set from your data. Past records with known correct matches, run before launch and after each change.
- An audit trail. Every create, update and merge is logged with its source, and a person can reverse it.
- EU hosting as a requirement. The parts we build are specified to run in the EU, and the plan names every processor in the chain.
