ESMA International Network has connected manufacturers, distributors and agents in packaged consumer goods since 1976. We replaced its WordPress site with a purpose-built platform.

In short

The problem
The old WordPress site listed members but had no member dashboard or apps.
What we built
Public site, members’ area, iOS and Android apps, admin back office.
What changed
Members now keep their own entry up to date, and one admin panel feeds the site and both apps.

The platform

Three products, one design system.

Loco Digital designed and built ESMA’s platform in 2026: app development from a Dublin studio. One custom Laravel application, one design system and one data model written for ESMA, so a member, an event or a document exists once and appears everywhere. Pages are rendered on the server, with Redis for caching and sessions.

The directory

Filter by what members sell.

Keyword search plus five filters that apply together: member category, product category, country, trade sector and brand. Each profile is a business record with a mapped address.

The dashboard

What members get for joining.

Every member sees where the clicks come from: the website link, the contacts on their profile, the map and each social channel, month by month. The members-only document library sits behind the same login.

The directory is public. Dashboard figures are sample data, and some member details are blurred.

The apps

No login needed to look around.

Live on the App Store and Google Play. Guests browse the directory and the events; members sign in for everything else.

The ESMA app on three phones: the home screen a guest sees, the member directory, and profile click statistics.

The back office

ESMA runs it, not us.

Most of this platform is invisible from the outside.

Members and content

Members, applications, events, documents and users, each in its own section.

Convention forms

Dinners, dietary flags and arrival dates, collected and exported for the caterer.

Notifications

In-app messages to every member, or to one event’s attendees.

The result

Live, and measured.

Live since 5 August 2026, with the 338 redirects from the old website addresses still in place. It is designed to WCAG 2.1 AA and every image in the directory carries alt text. There is no formal audit yet; Lighthouse accessibility was 91 on mobile.
